SUB Fair
The SUB Fair is your chance to meet members of your students’ society and get exclusive access to some FREE swag items (for all you returning students, this is the place to get your free tote bag!).
SUB businesses and local vendors come together to shower you with free swag and special deals. From September 8-11 we’ll be giving out the exclusive SUB Deal Book (full of FREE and AWESOME deals for students), as well as debuting our brand new FREE swag for the year.

Movie in the Quad (MiTQ)
This year’s Movie in the Quad is Shrek 2 – and we’re a believer that it’s going to be one of the best yet! 💚🍿
We’ll be blowing up a giant inflatable screen to make a popup theater under the stars! Join us on the Quad from 8 to late to watch this Shrek-tastic film.
We’re handing out popcorn in exchange for a donation to the UVSS Food Bank. So, not only will you get a tasty snack, but you’ll be helping to support fellow students. Don’t forget some non-perishable food items or bring a monetary donation!

Are you ready to hear some of the best student sound around? Look no further than Beats by the SUB, our annual mini music festival hosted right outside of the SUB.
We’ve got an amazing lineup coming together for you this year: three days of performances from talented artists in the Victoria scene! From noon till 5 PM, the campus will come alive with infectious beats, creating the ultimate back to school experience.
CFUV 101.9 FM will also join the party with awesome tunes between bands. CFUV 101.9 FM is the official radio sponsor for Beats by the SUB.

Free Pancake Breakfast
We’re serving up hot, fluffy pancakes to welcome students back to campus.Let’s start September strong with a FREE piping hot plate of pancakes!
Fluffy pancakes, delicious maple syrup, and good vibes all around, what more could you want? Come join us from 8:00 to 10:30 in the Michèle Pujol Room in the SUB for some free pancakes and great tunes provided by our on-campus radio station CFUV.

The UVSS, UVic Sustainability, Habitat for Humanity ReStore, and Big Brothers Big Sisters are partnering up to set up a move-out Donation Drive!
Before you move out, drop off items you no longer need and make our campus more sustainable.

We Accept: Small appliances, kitchenware, gently used furniture, electronics, and clean clothing.
We will not accept: Mattresses, box springs, or liquid substances.
All donated items will be going to charities, including Habitat for Humanity!
FEM-EXPO (Feminist Empowerment Expo) is a bold, week-long celebration of intersectional feminism that weaves together the magic of workshops, panels, vendors, art, performances, and more!
Join us for multiple educational free events like “Intro to Hormone Therapy Panel,” “Risk Literacy for Kinksters,” and more! Or enjoy some art during our feminist art exhibit “The Hands that Build tomorrow. Peruse through our Market and Tabling Fair and buy some beautiful jewelry and trinkets or enjoy a movie and feminist discussion during our Film Festival. Don’t forget to get wet and wild for our anti-fashion variety show “Groovefest”, coming back after a 20-year hiatus!
