In response to courses being offered primarily virtually next year, the Office of Student Life has created a program to address the holistic university experience that new UVic students might otherwise miss out on in the online environment. The New Student Engagement team is excited to bring incoming and current students together to create a sense of community and connection!

You are such an important part of what defines UVic, and you have been identified as someone who could help facilitate these connections as an Engage Leader (EL)! In this role, you would foster a sense of closeness and act as the first point of contact for students remotely navigating their first-year experience at UVic. You will support approximately 30 students through meaningful 1-on-1 interactions and engaging community-building group activities.

Additionally, for EL – Indigenous Students; Global Students; and Team Leaders: You will have additional responsibilities such as moderating identity specific discussion forums or lead a team of 6-10 EL’s respectively.
