WHAT IS CAMPUS KICK OFF?
Welcome back to campus UVic Students! We’re so excited to see you 🤩
Campus Kickoff (CKO) is the UVSS’ annual back-to-school event that takes place during the first week of classes in September. This year, CKO is taking place from September 4-6, Wednesday-Friday.
Over 3 days of featured events, we’re showcasing musicians and artists, offering free food, hosting movie screenings, and more. Don’t miss out on the chance to meet other students, get FREE SWAG, and see what the UVSS and our partners have to offer.
All events are FREE and will be unforgettable.

Free Pancake Breakfast: 8am-11am
Let’s start September strong with a FREE piping hot plate of pancakes! From 8:00 – 11:00, enjoy our fresh-made pancakes courtesy of your UVSS Board of Directors. Just follow the aroma of freshly flipped pancakes and the groovy tunes supplied by CFUV.
🥞 Don’t forget to bring your friends and start your first day of classes off right!

SUB Fair: 10am-4pm
SUB businesses and local vendors come together to shower you with free swag and special deals. From September 4-6 We’ll be giving out the exclusive SUB Deal Book, overflowing with deals and special offers.

Cool off with a drink outside at Felicitas extended patio! Enjoy a cold drink as you bask in the warm sun with friends, at your favorite campus pub.

Bands on the “Roof”: 12pm-5pm
We’ve got an amazing lineup coming together for you this year: three days of performances from talented artists in the Victoria scene! From noon till 5 PM, the campus will come alive with infectious beats, creating the ultimate back to school experience. CFUV will also join the party with awesome tunes between bands.
🎵 Come join the crowd and ring in another year on campus!

Movie in the Quad: 8pm – Late
We’ll be blowing up a giant inflatable screen to make a popup theater under the stars! On September 5th we’ll be showing Mamma Mia, so bring your friends and a blanket, and rock out to some classic ABBA!
We’re handing out popcorn in exchange for a donation to the UVSS Food Bank. So, not only will you get a tasty snack, but you’ll be helping to support fellow students. Don’t forget some nonperishable food items!
