How to Participate:
Prerequisite:
- Contest is open to all UVSS members in good standing.
Follow Accounts:
- To enter, follow the Student Union Building Instagram page @thesub.yyj and at least ONE of the SUB businesses’ Instagram accounts @subtext_uvss, @cinecentafilms, @felicitas_pub.
Tag Friends:
- In the comments of the giveaway post, tag a friend!
- Each comment with a unique tag counts as 1 entry. Multiple entries are encouraged!
- Only Instagram comments are valid for this giveaway.
Weekly Participation:
- There will be one Giveaway post each week, and participants can enter each week. However, contestants can win only one package of the 3 weekly prizes + Grand Prize.
New Round for Each Post:
- Each Giveaway post opens a new round of prizes. Participants must comment on the specific post to qualify for that week’s prize.
Example: If the participant wants to participate in the Giveaway 2 drawing, even if they commented on the Giveaway 1, they need to comment again on the Giveaway 2 post to be qualified. Same rules for the Giveaway 3 post.
Grand Prize Eligibility:
- All entries from the 3 “Recharge in the SUB” Giveaways are valid for the final Grand Prize drawing of Felicita’s Karaoke Night VIP.
- The winner of the Grand Prize must be 19+.

Opens: Nov 27th
Draw on: Dec 1st at 12pm
Grand Prize:
- VIP table for 4 with a platter of nachos, Greek platter, and a jug of beer of your choice. *
- The winner can choose between a Karaoke Night or a Battle of the Bands Night.
* The grand prize winner must be 19+ to claim the prize.
Deadline to claim the prize: March 27th, 2026 (BOTB Finals).

Draw on: Dec 3rd at 12pm
Claiming Prizes:
- Winners will be contacted on Instagram via direct message.
- A valid UVic Student ID is required to claim prizes.
- Winners for each giveaway will be officially announced on the @thesub.yyj Instagram:
- In the comment section of the original post; and
- In a new post featuring a photo of the winner receiving their prize
- The photo is required to successfully claim the prize.
- A UVSS/SUB staff member will take the photo when the winner arrives to collect their prize.
