Meet The Facilitators:

School Stress & Burnout Support Group Facilitator:

Heya! My name’s Jenna (she/her/they/them). I am currently in my fourth year studying Psychology as my major and Gender Studies as my minor here at UVIC. As a fourth year, I totally understand the struggles in managing stress and burnout during the school year and how difficult it can be and feel. I am looking forward to getting together with you all to chat and support each other. I hope to create a safe and inclusive space for everyone and anyone who would like to join and chat or just drop in to hang out.

Anxiety Support Group Facilitator:

Hello! My name is Michelle (she/her), and I am so excited to be co-facilitating the anxiety support group this semester! I am a fourth-year psychology student, hoping to complete a master’s in counselling. As someone who has struggled with anxiety myself, I understand how challenging it can be to prioritize mental health as a busy student. I believe it is essential to have a balance between school and time for yourself, and I do this by spending time outdoors, doing yoga or going to the gym, and doing lots of crafts! I am looking forward to meeting new students and creating a welcoming and safe space for students to share and grow together!

Anxiety Support Group Facilitator:

Hello! I’m Sophie, and I use she/her pronouns. I’m in my last semester of psychology here at UVic and plan to apply to master’s counselling programs in the fall. I’m excited to be an anxiety support group facilitator this term. As someone who has experienced anxiety, I understand how overwhelming it can be at times. I’m passionate about creating a safe space for fellow students to share their experiences. I look forward to meeting everyone and supporting one another in this space.
