Voter ID
All voters must prove their identity and residential adress before voting. There are three differnt ways you can do this that can be found at BC elections website.
The most common way students from the province of B.C. will prove their identitiy is by showing B.C. government issued ID, including but not limited to: a B.C. drivers license, B.C. Identification Card or B.C. services card.
If you are from out-of-province, you can still vote if you have lived in BC since April 18, 2024, are over 18 on October 19, 2024 and are a Canadian Citizen.
The most common way out-of province students will prove their identitiy is by showing two peices of ID that both show your name (one piece must prove your BC residential address). This includes but is not limited to: passports, birth certificates, a residential lease, a tution/fee statment, your student card, and percription medication containers.
