Content Warning: Sexualized Violence on Campus
The UVSS was made aware of the incident of sexualized violence that recently occurred on campus just minutes before the emergency alert was sent to the wider university community last night. Our thoughts are with the survivor and we earnestly hope they are able to find peace and healing as time moves forward.
It has been communicated to the UVSS Executive by UVic Administration that students, staff, and faculty members who were directly (e.g. the survivor) or indirectly (e.g. persons triggered by the alert, witnesses etc.) impacted by this incident will be able to receive accommodations and supports inside and outside the classroom.
