About the instructor:
“Hi! My name is Larisa Murdoch and I’ll be your instructor for this Queer-Friendly Self Defence Course. I’m in my 5th year at the University of Victoria where I’m studying Biology and Business. I have been in Martial Arts since I was six years old and received my first degree black belt at the age of twelve. I’ve been teaching Self Defence and Kickboxing at CARSA since I started at UVic and I truly believe it’s a skill set that everyone should learn! ”

Itinerary:
We’ve got a lot of course material to get through in 3 hours. I will be covering the basics of general self defence, 9 strikes that will work on anyone, how to get out of certain grabs and holds, and finally, a little bit of ground defence.
