Emily Lowan, UVSS Director of Campaigns

Are you a UVic undergraduate student who is Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Colour?

The UVSS wants to know about your experience with UVic’s mental health services. We want to work with you to create mental health services, policies and events that meaningfully support your mental health.

All students who participate in this consultation, either through the online focus group or a written submission, will be compensated with a $50 honorarium. The online focus group will be facilitated by BIPOC folks.

There are two ways to participate in this consultation:

1. Online focus group 1.5 hour session with 15 participants, includes a short written experience survey.

2. Long form written experience survey.

Register to participate in the BIPOC Mental Health Consultation HERE.

Please note that compensation will only be provided to those who have sincerely engaged with our consultation.

The information gathered from submissions to this form will be collected and analyzed by the UVSS to inform their advocacy and programming for BIPOC students. All data collected will be anonymized before being reported.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Emily, the Rethink Mental Health Campaign Director at campaigns@uvss.ca
